TOBY STORIE-PUGH

Toby Storie-Pugh, co-founder of Akashinga Maasai, embodies a unique blend of visionary leadership and a deep commitment to community development. His journey has been inspired by a passion for the wild, empty spaces of the Maasai Mara and the indomitable warrior spirit of the Maasai people. Toby's extensive experience in sustainable development is reflected in his co-founding of Flying Kites, a transformative school and teacher training academy in Kenya and Naserian Foundation, currently developing an extraordinary community project in Olpalagilagi, just outside the Maasai Mara National Reserve.

His innovative approach combines exploration with social good, creating projects that leave a lasting legacy. Toby is partner and COO at The Farm group of companies, where he plays a pivotal role in shaping diverse ventures across media, technology, and education that mirror his dedication to storytelling and transformative projects.

Toby passionately champions the power of design in all his endeavours, particularly in community development projects. He believes that thoughtful, sustainable design can transform communities, enhance lives, and foster a deep connection between people and their environment. His projects reflect this commitment to design excellence and innovation.

Drawn to the raw beauty and cultural richness of the Maasai Mara, Toby is driven by a desire to protect and celebrate this unique landscape. His vision for Akashinga Maasai is to offer luxury safari experiences that are deeply rooted in sustainability, community empowerment and leadership enablement, ensuring that every adventure contributes to the preservation of wildlife and the well-being of local communities.
