  • Naserian Foundation is Akashinga Maasai's sister organisation. It is currently developing an innovtive model of community support centred around the clinic, wellness centre and schools. This built infrastructure, designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Francis Kéré, is located only a short distance outside the Maasai Mara National Reserve and guests will have the opportunity to visit, should they wish to.

TRAVEL INFORMATION

  • The best time to visit the Maasai Mara is during the dry season from June to October, which coincides with the Great Migration. This period offers excellent wildlife viewing opportunities and pleasant weather conditions. However, in the Mara, any time of year is magical and different seasons offer different opportunities for game viewing.

  • Pack light, breathable clothing, a hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, binoculars, and a camera. Detailed packing lists are provided upon booking. We recommend bringing layers to adapt to varying temperatures throughout the day. A full packing list will be provided as part of your preparatory materials after booking.

  • Yes, most visitors need a visa to enter Kenya. Visas can ONLY be obtained online prior to arrival in Kenya. We advise checking the specific visa requirements for your nationality before travelling. We are happy to advise as part of the planning and booking process.

  • You can fly into Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi and then take a domestic flight to Maasai Mara. We provide detailed travel instructions and assistance upon booking. Our team will coordinate transfers to ensure a smooth journey.
